Second Edition - new release alert?

Hi! This book is going to be released as a second edition with a new cover and more content - will it get a "new release" alert email sent out as a second edition?

I can't find this info anywhere, but the reason I want to know is to decide if I will do a Goodreads Giveaway or not... (If it does get a second release email sent out, then I'd do a giveaway.)

Hopefully someone knows the answer to this. Thank you in advance!
