If anyone has any books with titles, author initials, or character initials that start with I, E, O, U, or Y that would be awesome. We are about to end the month and we still have a bunch of vowels that need books on the spell-it outs.
Darn. I thought I posted that and I deleted the post I do in my personal challenge tracker in another group. I'll use Amazon & Google books to do it again. I think there was a minor U character in the Watchmaker's daughter. I'll see if I can find the name. I can't always mark them down when I used the audio book.
Watchmaker's Daughter has a Mr. Unger. I think he's in the book enough to count. Also found on pg 171: sherry and brandy which I missed.
(I just downloaded the ebook from the library to make searching easier)
I'll look up the names and such for Warded Man again.

OK I have finished up all the books I had started over the last couple of weeks while I was convalescing on my couch. Also driving again which has upped my audio book listening. Spreadsheet is updated and I'll be posting the characters/foods here soon.
I see we have 4 finished books over 500 pages. Is that enough? I was going to binge read/listen short easy reads to get our book numbers up.

I was able to add some desserts with one of the 500+ page books. What we are really hurting for right now are those spell-it-out vowels. If we don't finish the spell-it-outs then our meals won't be finished and we won't be able to use them. I should have a couple more books finished before the end of the month. Hopefully more. Though I am not sure about the characters' names quite yet to know if any of them have vowels.
OK. I'll keep an eye for some vowels. The books I finished recently all had at least one U, O, I or E. I'm back in my office where I can listen to audio books most afternoons. I'm going to try and knock out a shorter book each day. I'm also behind on a genre based challenge so that'll help that.

I just updated the spreadsheet with the last couple of book and here are the current letters that we need for the spell-it-outs:I: 5
O: 4

Right now we just need to finish up the spell-it-outs unless you have a book over 500 pages that has some good desserts or alcoholic drinks listed. =)
I just realized that I didn't add Fated Blades to spreadsheet so adding that now with this one. The Beginning Place Ursula K. Le Guin
A: Ursula LeGuin
C: Irena Panner, Hugh Rogers
I am available to fill in books into letters on the spreadsheet if needed. I had started to but didn't want to mess anything up.It looks like my last 2 books will take care of the I's and one of the U's. But we still have 4 O's and a U. I'll see if I can find an audio book short enough to get done today.

That's it for me this round. But I'll check in later in case you need me to move books into spots.
OK, I was going to fit my last 3 books into spots but I'm getting errors. so I clearly don"t know what I'm doing.
Mary C wrote: "OK, I was going to fit my last 3 books into spots but I'm getting errors. so I clearly don"t know what I'm doing."I will check the spreadsheet before I go to bed. =)
Okay, I think that I've got the spreadsheet all filled out. Have a look and see what you all think. Now we just have to wait for the customers and then assign them food, I guess. We missed that part last month so it's all new to me. From this point forward, don't forget to add any of your November books to the November books section on the spreadsheet. =)
Mary C wrote: "Thank you Vanessa for doing all that."No problem. I hope that I filled out everything right.

I wasn't sure either for this part. I assigned the meals to certain age groups. I hope that was what we were supposed to do. =P
Mary C wrote: "The book I just added has disappeared."Sorry about that. I fixed it. I hid all the books on the spreadsheet from the first and second round so they wouldn't be in the way. I copied your book to the third round books spot so you can see it again. =)
Starfighter Command: Game 2 Grace GoodwinAnother one with no food or drink references that I could find. Hopefully it works for spell outs.

I need romance, classics or historical for a genre based team challenge. I'm going to see if I can find some that hit the 500 mark. I thought a couple Nora Roberts books I have would work but they're just short of 500. Although I'll probably read them anyway.
Mary C wrote: "I need romance, classics or historical for a genre based team challenge. I'm going to see if I can find some that hit the 500 mark. I thought a couple Nora Roberts books I have would work but they'..."Here is a list:
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/3...
There are several historical romances that are classics on the first page of that list. There are many more pages though.
I just found 2 Lisa Jackson books on my Scribd list that are just over 500 pages. But I'll check that list out. They don't have to be historical romances. Although I am fond of those too.
For long contemporary romances you should try Mariana Zapata. She writes long books and they are always awesome.
hi all i'll look on the spread sheet and see what taks i can get my books to work for
right this is going to take longer than i thought and its midnight here i promise i'll post everything tomorrow i have 13 books to search through for words though some was libray books so might have to only use them as spell out but the ebooks will be easy to search through
I’ll check her out. The genre challenge doesn’t need to be over 500 pages. But we need a few for this, so 2 birds one stone. There is the Wheel-at-thon team challenge starting. Might be bonus points fir long books.
I possibly have an addiction to team reading challenges.
Jodie (JT) wrote: "right this is going to take longer than i thought and its midnight here i promise i'll post everything tomorrow i have 13 books to search through for words though some was libray books so might hav..."Take your time. This challenge is really in depth so if you don't want to worry creating meals on the spreadsheet then you can just post completion posts here in the thread. If you can't remember any foods that is okay but we would need character names for the spell-it-outs.
