Through CH 4 (view spoiler)[The body count is starting hah I'm a bit concerned for Linus but think he's going to pull through.

I'm not sure how the Russian prince is going to complicate things. Wouldn't it be interesting if he had an antidote to Styxnine that would wake Linus up faster and Catalina could've had it earlier. Or perhaps he just knows who the murderer is.

Through Ch 8 (view spoiler)[I did not see the twist with Linus coming! Woah. I didn't reread anything leading up to this release and I don't remember any hints at this. Do you guys remember?

Interesting info about the Osiris serum.

Michael from the records office is scary.

I am frustrated that Catalina didn't watch the whole video. I just knew it would come back to bite her. Extra power she's never practiced and it's a very good thing that Allesandro is anti magic. It's cool expansion of her siren power too. (hide spoiler)]

Through Ch 12 (view spoiler)[Seems like they're pulling out all the stops. Even getting Grandma Tremaine involved. I'm interested to see what happens when she wakes up.

I am not sure what I think about Constantine. Is he just for this installment or would he be a future candidate for Arabella if there is a future Arabella series? Hmm. I guess we'll see if he lives to the end of this.

Finished (view spoiler)[I liked it. I know the authors had trouble writing it due to the pandemic and the ending did feel rushed. I still liked it. Probably 3.5 stars that I'll round up.

I know they've been conflicted about continuing the series. I hope the fact that we got the Epilogue from Arabella's pov is a hint that they'll continue. If not, almost every loose end I can think of was tied up. (hide spoiler)]

I started today / last night... I'm enjoying it, but kinda frustrated that (view spoiler)[so many Ilona Andrews plots revolve around characters discovering new OP magics, and the unresolved Caesar plotlines from the first trilogy, involving Linus/Tremaine (hide spoiler)]

Catalina's powers seem like a Siren/Banshee duality, which is interesting...

The comments between Linus, the Librarian, and Catalina about Arabella's ability to make good romantic choices lends credence to the idea that maybe the Librarian was trying to get permission for Michael to court Arabella... but the Russian guy at the end could turn that into a love triangle... or I could be misunderstanding the favor/permission thing... This one definitely wrapped up a ton of plotlines... I was happy with it, overall, if not amazed...

Up through chapter 8, regarding Linus (view spoiler)[ I remember reading a scene where Victoria and Linus are holding Nevedas baby just after his birth, I think it was in a free snipped on IA blog so that hinted at who he was.

This series has so many side characters asking for stories, if the series doesn't do a 3rd trilogy for Arabella...

@iain @Narilka RE Arabella (view spoiler)[ I absolutely see a love triangle, Michael is scary powerful, like Rogan and Alessandro so he'll fit it with the family. Konstantin is someone I'm starting to like more and more, he befriended the dig, he gets points. (hide spoiler)]

Also, regarding the keeper of records (view spoiler)[ I'm assuming Linus will now have the records officially changed to show the Baylor's are his heirs. While that might put a target on them, it might also open doors too. I think they deserve a public show of recognition after all the scheming from both Victoria and Linus. (hide spoiler)]

So I hadn't quite finished the book when I made my last comment, now I have and (view spoiler)[ I realise there's another Russian, this one is clearly a perfect match for Arabella if he's a monster too.

I desperately hope there's an Arabella trilogy, I love this world so much and don't want to leave it. (hide spoiler)]

Narilka said Ilona Andrews are on the fence about continuing the series... probably, among other things, because it's their one contract with Avon... and they feel bad missing deadlines... if they still have any other professional contracts with the Kate Daniels publishers, that's 2 competing deadlines... if not, it's the one publisher holding them back from complete autonomy, at this point...

Either way, I wouldn't mind seeing more in this world, or any IA world really... I even started reading Fated Blades in the Kinsmen universe recently... altho I might have forgotten to finish it (oops)... and it was a short one, too...

Constantin gives me Roman vibes from Kate Danials... wouldn't mind seeing more of him...

Eventually they'll finish the Innkeeper they're still putting out weekly. That one is going to be a full novel. They've been publishing the serial for most of the year it feels like!

I'm super excited for the next Innkeeper installment. At this point I'm a hard core IA fangirl, I'll read anything they put out. I enjoyed Fated Blades too, it was better than I thought it would be.
