My question is not regarding Audible originals. I see many audiobooks classified as "Audible Audio" that are available for purchase at Audible but are from other publishers. Should these be classified just as "Audiobook"?

I apologize if this has been discussed and decided long ago.

If they have an ASIN, their format should be Audible Audio; if they have an ISBN, their format should be Audiobook.
