By definition, these books are a bit dated. These are some of the classics that remind us of what people hoped for, feared, expected and imagined for the future of mankind. We, Brave New World, several of H.G. Wells's books, and quite a few other obvious classics fall in this category. Other authors, including Andre Norton and Isaac Asimov, also published books about the future before 1960. Not all of these books are concerned about science and technology. In fact many are more interested in the social lives of future people.
I chose a book of short Lucky Starr novels by Isaac Asimov for this one.

Cathy  (cathepsut) | 576 comments I have Foundation Trilogy on my shelf, but I doubt I will find the time to read any of the prompts for this pre-challenge before the actual readathon.
