Trying to find name of book where woman leaves abusive husband and is helped by man who has one arm because of a genetic deformity. But his half brother is fine. In s series similar to new species series I think his name is Rowan and the abusive husbands name is Jack. I don't think it's new species or brides of the kindred. I think the place she goes to is sanctuary. He is either in a series about enhanced humans or military men.
