The summer I turned pretty: After reading the books then watching the show (or the other way around) did that change if you what team you we're on team Jere or Conrad?

OK so I read the Summer I turned pretty trilogy earlier this December. I learned that there was an adaptation coming out this past June and of course binged it the day it came out. When reading the books I was 100% team Conrad but after watching the series come to life and the plot of the show, I became team Jeremiah. Did this happen to anyone else? Did you start on one characters team for the show or books and then switch when you got to the other?
