Dakoda met her eyes, "Sure." he replied

message 152: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle sputtered for a moment before managing to speak. "But I... Why would you do that, your majesty?@

message 153: by [deleted user] (new)

"Why would I not?" he replied

message 154: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) "Because I'm just your maid, your majesty," Lakle responded timidly, bowing her head down again.

message 155: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda shrugged "Still, I see no reason why you shouldn't get it." he replied

message 156: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle looked quite flustered and confused. She didn't understand why the prince would do anything nice for her.

message 157: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda got up, "Come on." he said to Lakle. He was going to go down with her and get her violin

message 158: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) "Yes, your majesty," Lakle responded in her stunned voice, standing and smoothing out her simple dress.

message 159: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda walked out and lead them to the cellar. When they got there he ordered the guard to unlocked one of the cells they kept stuff in, "Do you see it?" he asked Lakle

message 160: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle looked around, her eyes lighting up when she saw an ebony black violin and bow. She knelt down and picked it up with tender hands, smiling for once.

message 161: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda stayed at the door, looking at her reaction. She seemed happy, happier then before already

message 162: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle stood and mad her way back to the prince. When she spoke, there was true joy in her voice. "Thank you, your majesty. Thank you...@

message 163: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda smiled lightly, "Don't mention it." he replied.

message 164: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle seemed so happy, a smile on her face, cradling the violin in her arms. She flicked her eyes upward, meeting the prince's again.

message 165: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda met her gaze. He was glad to see her so happy. Normally he didn't like any of the maids but Lakle was different. After what seemed like forever Dakoda tore his gaze away from hers and looked down the hall, "Shall we go back then?" he asked, looking back at her

message 166: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) "If that is what you wish, your majesty," Lakle responded, bowing her head back down with flushed cheeks. She kept a tight grip on the violin, for it was all she truly had left of her family.

message 167: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda nodded and headed back up stairs with her. It was already beginning to get dark, after all Lakle had slept most of the day away

message 168: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) As they walked, Lakle began to then her violin, plucking the strings with delicate fingers.

message 169: by [deleted user] (new)

Once they got into his room Dakoda turned to Lakle, "What can you play?" he asked

message 170: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) "Too much to name, your majesty," Lakle answered almost sheepishly, her head still bowed. She gazed at the violin with a giddy happiness.

message 171: by [deleted user] (new)

"Play something for me." Dakoda said softly.

message 172: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle stood, stunned that he would want to hear her, before raising the violin to her neck and beginning to play. She played a haunting melody, closing her eyes and letting the music come to her. She seemed very peaceful and serene, still as a statue save for her playing.

message 173: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda sat down on his chair and listened her play.

message 174: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) ((I gotta go to sleep, I can barely focus. Sorry!))

message 175: by [deleted user] (new)

((Don't worry about it, sleep is very important!))

message 176: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Eventually Lakle stopped playing, finding tears in her eyes.

message 177: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda returned to reality and notices tears in the corners of her eyes

message 178: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle took a shaky breath, lowering the violin. Her hands shook slightly, her head now bowed as a few tears slid down her cheeks.

message 179: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) ((So after this conversation will they be kidnapped?))

message 180: by [deleted user] (new)

((yah))

Dakoda hesitantly approached her

message 181: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle noticed the prince approaching and quickly tried to wipe her face, sniffling. "I'm s-sorry, your majesty, I..."

message 182: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda put his hand on her cheek and gently wiped her tears away

message 183: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle froze at the prince's touch, her eyes flicking up to meet his. She blinked shakily, some more tears sliding down her cheeks, her hand still clutching the violin.

message 184: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda met her eyes. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable to he moved his hand away

message 185: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Confusion shone in Lakle's eyes, along with a certain sadness that had been there since she had met the prince. She sniffled again, nervously bowing her head down, tearing her eyes from his.

message 186: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda could see her sadness, and was curious to know more. But he didn't want to ask if she didn't want to tell

message 187: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) "I'm s-sorry..." She whispered again, thinking he was mad.

message 188: by [deleted user] (new)

"Don't be." Dakoda replied softly

message 189: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle flicked her eyes back upwards, her cheeks sort of flushed. She breathed shakily, sniffling again.

message 190: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose)

message 191: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda met her eyes again, but tore them away when one of the guards burst into the room. "What is it?" Dakoda asked sharply.

"We are under attack, sir." The guard replied gruffly "I was told to get you somewhere safe." he added

message 192: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle made a sound of fear, taking a few steps back. She wasn't supposed to come with the prince, for her safety was less important than his.

message 193: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda looked at Lakle, "Come on." her ordered, grabbing her hand and followed the guard quickly

message 194: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle gasped, setting down her violin before allowing herself to be tugged after the prince, her eyes wide. "Y-Your majesty, I'm s-supposed to stay in m-my room-"

message 195: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda huffed and looked back. He could see guards and people alike rushing every which way. "Too bad." he replied "Your coming with me. That's an order." he added, stopping her from further arguing

message 196: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle nodded shakily, her hand still tight in his. She eventually held tight to his hand, curling her fingers around his.

message 197: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda lead the two down multiple flights of stairs until they got to the bottom floor. He opened a door leading outside the back of the castle and there was a horse and a guard waiting for them.

message 198: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle trembled, absolutely terrified. She could hear sounds of fighting from the other side of the castle.

message 199: by [deleted user] (new)

Dakoda got up onto the horse and put his hand out for Lakle to take.

message 200: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Rose (natalieerrose) Lakle hesitantly took his hand and climbed up onto the horse, trying to ignore the odd looks from the guard.
