I think I played Spell only once. It was ok .. but at the moment, I don't have time.

Hello, friends--

We remain in 8th place. We had a LOT of hungry customers. I am a teensy bit over this challenge.

For this final round, we should focus on monthly specials, curry, and sandwiches (biggest point-getters) AND making as many meals as we can. The bonus items give us hella points, BUT they don't feed anyone. Finding the 20 is still worth it, though.

As before, we should read the longest books possible.

We got a lot of adults this time, and I think finding our special items helped us. This month, we're looking for:

8-10: Meals with the word "chocolate", "gold", or "scallop" in the text or title, or used as a spell-it-out will attract more adults for round 3

Im a bit confused with this extra words ,.like last months tuna , no one checks that we used it at all so how is it helping us .
Scallop is easy to do but gold.and chocolate are gonna be hard other than in desserts .

I know sandwiches and currys get big points but we can do 2 salads for same items as curry to feed more people , so not sure which is best way to go .

Me personally can only do 2 max 500 pg books , but will try to do more 300+.pg

I think it's why we got so many adults, BUT, we couldn't use their tips for fresh items because we didn't have enough.

Also, good point re: curry. I don't have this figured out at all. And I don't mean to demand people read long books, only that they are better re: items. I won't read more than 2-3 500s a month for sure. I'm just trying to focus on 300+ that are on some of my lists and fit other challenges.

Sorry if it seemed like I was telling people what and how to read. I didn't mean to, but I can imagine it appeared that way.

Tell you what, im just gonna put a load of stuff on SS and if we have enough great and if not ..they'll have to starve 😄😄

I don't think the beverages and desserts did a lot for us, esp the liquor and desserts. Adults and teens eat plenty of other stuff. On the other hand, they are a super easy way to feed people. But I think we'd be better off looking for more water (which everyone drinks) and using the 500+ books to do more food than using them for liquor.

Teens only eat dessert and frozen food, so we do need some of that. And everyone else eats quiche, so we do need frozen.

But yes--there's no way we're gonna win this challenge, so throw it up there and we'll see how it goes. I think we tried hard this month, and our ranking didn't move, so let's just read, ffs.

Have filled some of bonus in with ideas, we can repeat though and have done the fig bonus as both spell and scavenger

Im not sure where the gold / cjocolate going other than all desserts chocolate flavour with gold leaf on them 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I have been thinking about this--coffee can have chocolate and quiche, curry, pasta can have gilded elements. If you put these items into your food, I will make them work in the descriptions! That's my favorite part,

The meal items highlighted 'dull pink'are ones that need to be from 500 + book...have cut down on desserts/ alcohol so not a lot

Ok, I am confused regarding points and customers .... it feels a bit like it doesn't really matter what we offer. We dont get more points.
So I am totally with you Kirstrn on being over this challenge ... it lost a bit of it's appeal.

I put some of my books in the spreadsheet - one is in there which has below 300pg. if we don't need it, I can delete it

So the new sheet doesn't seem to work for autopopulating. Like when I put the book in a letter it just says N/A for the Name/Date/etc. Are we just manually adding that info? If so, would it mess anything up if I put my books on the original sheet even if everyone else is using the new one? I don't mind scrolling since I do it on my computer but I'm lazy and don't want to fill out the info lol

Our books have to be all either spells or hunts--you can only do one or the other.

Any of us can do the bonus items, and it just needs to be something we think would be romantic. So, I'm prolly going to through a lube in there. We can have multiple roses, etc.

Ive come across 2 x vinegar in my Arthurian book and have 3 x vinegar in another book..is that enough do you think.
Actually only had 5 last time as well so unless any of us stumble across it we wont go out of our way
