Decker is consumed with guilt about how he handled Sophia. How do they both move on from this as she’s going to work for Troubleshooters?

To be honest, despite their obvious attraction, I cannot see Deck getting over his guilt with regard to his actions with Sofia. They will work together well but I don't really see a future for them as a couple. Deck's ingrained sense of honor will make this impossible.

They’re both professionals so they will do their jobs. As far as a personal relationship? Stay tuned.

Because I'm reading for the second time, I know that their road is really long and very bumpy. It will not be easy for them. Decker is eaten up with guilt because he misread Sofia so completely and he also used her and just left her.

[Sharon]

I expect this to be another love story like Locke and Starrett. They will need to work through a lot of baggage, but they will get there. Sophia is showing signs of falling for Decker already. Sophia or Brockman will need to pull Decker along. I'm afraid that it will be a slow pull.

From what we've read so far, Brockman likes the "push/pull" relationship. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan. I almost killed Starrett, and I think Decker will be a bigger challenge for me to work through.
