Tess and Nash have to go undercover as married relief volunteers. In your opinion, did this advance their romantic relationship or set it back? In what way?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Posing as a married couple kept them in the vicinity while they were in Kazbekistan. It made them get to know each other a little better and understand each other. Nash realized that Tess knew what she as doing in her job with Troubleshooters.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments At first, it set it back a little. Tess has strong feelings for Nash, but he works so hard to hurt her that she thinks he didn't feel anything for her, and he most likely regretted their night together. As time passed, Tess began understanding Nash and could read between the lines. Working together does advance their relationship.

It felt like a setback because they were thrown together without ever resolving him ghosting her after their night together. But, I’m not sure they ever would have without this assignment.

I’m torn.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1811 comments Without being thrown into such close proximity, they would never have resolved their issues. Nash, in particular, would have avoided Tess.

So while it might have set them back at first, it was necessary in the long term.

That’s where my head is.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments Tess was really hurt when Nash left without a word. She was surprised to end up on an op with him and determined not to let him know how much he had hurt her. She was also determined to show him she is competent as a field agent. Being up close as a married couple was a chance for Tess to prove those things to him, it just didn't turn out the way Tess had envisioned. So, setback at first and then big advance.
