Leon McNair | 49 comments I don't think the Folio Society edition of the Fellowship Of The Ring has a completed page-count in order to allow tracking of progress between
(current pages read) / (total pages in book) or show a progress bar, could this please be fixed?

For ISBN -- I have looked inside the book that I physically own, and elsewhere on site, but cannot find an ISBN for this particular book?

Print length: 460 total pages in book

Gearóid Ó Cinnseamháin | 574 comments What year was your edition published? WorldCat (the preferred source for Goodreads page numbering) has Folio Society edition of The Fellowship of the Ring published in 1977, containing 459 pages. No ISBN. here's their linkhttps://www.worldcat.org/title/fellow... I'll add 459 for now, so at least there is an appropriate page number for tracking progress. If your edition is also 1977 then does you cover image match the cover on the Goodreads link you provided? You should be aware that some elements do not count for page numbering (e.g. advertisements, blank pages at the end of the book).

Leon McNair | 49 comments Inside the book it says,
"The Folio Society edition was first published in 1977; Reprinted (with a new binding) 1990; Reprinted (with a new binding) 1997... Nineteenth printing 2020"

I just had a look inside the book, and you're right that it does end at 459 pages. I don't understand why there is no ISBN though, there usually is in books?

Leon McNair | 49 comments If the book cover you saw from the link was green with a little intricate spirals and a yellow circle in the middle with a silhouette of a man on a horse then yes, my book matches the cover on the Goodreads link

Gearóid Ó Cinnseamháin | 574 comments Yes that's the one. Great, so with your information I've now been able to add the publication year of 1977 to Goodreads for the edition in question.

I believe Folio Society editions do not have ISBNs. I don't know why the Society chooses not to use the ISBN method of identifying editions.
