This book is set in the Washington DC area. A severely autistic teen witnesses abuse in her group home and escapes. She has an "awakening" and becomes communicative. She moves into the home of a doctor(?) away on rehab dealing with opiod addiction. This is contrasted with a poorer peson with addiction issues without means to do this. She hacks her computer and sets about setting Karma in motion. This book has a liberal slant.
The book had a white paperback cover and I read it about three years ago.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
There is an NRA convention where the lights go out, every one panics, and they shoot each other. She also obtains the abortion records of hypocrites in the prolife movement who have had abortions or paid for them for wives, daughters, or mistresses. There are members of Congress in this group. I believe she leaks the list to the press.
