The Outlaw Viking by Sandra Hill
A Knight in Tarnished Armor by Jill Barnett

LaVyrle Spencer's Hummingbird, first published in 1983.

Miriam Minger's Captive Rose, published in 1991.

...thought I would throw a flashback of Fabio who appeared on quite a few old skool bodice ripper covers 😁

Ha ha. Nice.

Neither of these books are available on kindle in Australia - nor are they borrowable at open library.
I am happy for them to go ahead as nominations if they are available online in Europe/North America. Can someone who lives there please check (as Jan and I are both down under)??
I am desperate to read 'Something Wonderful' and have been trying to find a copy. I have found a couple of libraries in Sydney who have it (not my local ones) so I may have to go for a drive to borrow it....

Oops I didn't check that. Sorry. I have paperback copies of both books and wasn't thinking. I think I nominated Hummingbird once before and forgot it's not available on kindle. I will withdraw my nomination of Hummingbird and think of something else instead.
I believe that it's only Australia where Judith McNaught books aren't available on kindle for some arcane reason - I understand they are readily available on kindle in other countries. So, is it still OK to nominate, or should I withdraw that one too?
FYI Susan, Something Wonderful (and other McNaught books) seem to be available via abebooks.com at a reasonable price. (second-hand). I have bought books via their website in the past and been very satisfied.
This might be a tough category to stick to the same level of accessibility as we tend to try :-/ …
I hesitate to nominate anything because I have been unable to participate as of late, but this one is one I have been meaning to read:
After Innocence by Brenda Joyce
After Innocence by Brenda Joyce

Hi Jan. Let's keep Something Wonderful - but try and find a book other than Hummingbird. I do not believe it is available as an ebook in the USA either

OK no worries. I will think about a nom to replace Hummingbird.

Yes it is a lovely book. People interested in reading it might be able to pick up a copy at a second-hand bookshop or a thrift shop. It was so popular in its day there are thousands of copies floating around.

It's available on kindle unlimited (free to members) or to purchase on kindle (Australia) for a low-ish price :)

I’m trying to cut down on the physical books I buy/own but she is an author I’m always on the lookout for in thrift shops. Her books seem to be available on Kobo now but weirdly not that one.

Hi Maureen. I think it does qualify - it as actually published in 1989. I think the edition that you are looking at was issued in 2002.
