Unconnected series extras

Hello, so I know adding extra content in series is hard but that’s why I was wondering why the short stories in the Shadowhunter chronicles are not connected to a series. They are short stories that have Been labeled as extra content. The first one it called one must always be careful of books, it takes place during the last hours series. Then there is a long conversation that takes place during the dark artifices but has characters from the mortal instruments. The whispering room takes place during the last hours series during chain of gold, the the fairy tale of London takes place at the end of the infernal devices. We jace you a clary Xmas is a compilation of jace and clary extras from the mortal instruments. If there is a way that these can be added to a series or at the very least to the shadow chronicles as a whole. So the are better found. Thanks
