Thank you. I'm already three chapters in and wrapped up in the characters and the situations they're in
I'm waiting on a copy from my library. As soon as it comes in, I'm going to dive into the story. It sounds so good!
I posted this in the spoiler thread before this one became active:interview with the author and the translator, Quentin Bates (one of my favorite authors as well):

I've just finished Cold as Hell and have purchased Red as Blood, the 2nd in the series. Thank you for the links. The interview with the author and her translator was very interesting.
I liked the book because we, the reader, knew whodunit. But I actually felt bad for the characters. It appears the book was designed to flow into Book 2 of the series which actually left me dissatisfied. Also, it appears that Arora cares more about hunting down the financial fraud than she does in finding her own sister. It seems like she does the barest minimum of checking around, then dumps the whole case on her "uncle" Daniel (who is, after all, more equipped to handle a missing person case, being a cop).

Here's the non-spoiler thread for Cold as Hell by Lilja Sigurðardóttir.
