Omg definitely either Howls moving castle <3 or the perks of being a wallflower (they are my top fav two movies lol)
Okay hear me out: Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Best adaptation, *hands down*.

not a movie adaptation, but a TV adaptation: Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. You can stream it on Netflix. There is a 2nd season on the way as well!!!
Hunger games, harry potter(even though there's a lot difference I know), also tv adaption of Heartstopper loved it!
