Hey, I was thinking of making a poll in the group of what we could improve on. Members would be able to put in their own answers, but to create a poll you need a few options that they can choose from in the beginning (if that makes sense, because you can't not put in any options).
Any opinions of what those first few options could be?

@reed we have a chat for members and a Moderator chat! Catherine linked the chat for members as well!
@Catherine I like that idea!
maybe a few options like:
-We want more games
-we want a theme for the BOTM (ex. It's October so maybe choosing a thriller or horror)
-we want more active chats (not saying they aren't active but just an idea!)
those are what I have!

I was thinking also when Holidays come up or something we try and find a book that relates to that holiday and we can have a fun read...
So example: If it was Valentines Day coming up we could choose a book that has to do with Valentines and we can all read as a group and whoever wants to read that book can join in!

All of those ideas sound great! I was also thinking that we could add writing prompts, because I noticed that quite a few people write as well as read here.
What are some more group fun reads we can add.... Like how Catherine did The Secret History or something... I will make the threads if we can come up with some good books that would be a good fun read.
It seems like The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is a popular book right now. However, it would be nice to have some people decide that they want to read the book before the thread is made- that way a thread isn't made and then nobody wants to read the book.
How about we make a poll asking about whether people would be interested in reading the book or not? If a reasonable number of people say yes, then we can make the thread.

Hey!! I wanted to let you all know that I won't be as active as usual this week because I have work constant in the mornings and soccer throughout the week also! I should be good by Friday though
Okay thank you for letting us know! Catherine or I will monitor the group and you do what you have to do!

Hey y'all, I was thinking of creating a topic under readalongs. It'll explain what readalongs are and also let people suggest books for our next readalong. Thoughts?
@catherine sorry I just saw this but I was out dirt biking this morning but I think we should explain what we mean by readalongs and then specify that people don’t have to participate in those it’s just for fun!
But I thought about under that Readalong explanation I think we should create a list of all the books that would be a fun readalong and then let other choose and comment which ones they would like to read! That way since we have some people who read thrillers, or romance it’s not all the same genre.
Definitely! People would be able to suggest books they think would make a good readalong, and if a couple other people agree, we could set up a readalong.

Do you want me to set up a thread for Fun Readalongs and then once we get more than 4 people who want to read that book we will make a thread?

Hey, since fun reads are basically the same as readalongs, what do you think about adding the I Kissed Shara Wheeler thread to the readalongs folder?

I think that would be fine.

I was thinking about having a readathon between September and October to have spooky, thriller, horror, ect. for the readathon. there would be prompts that would help you get more points too!

Ohh, I'm sorry. I hope all of it can be fun for you in some way😔
I've been doing pretty good! A little busy, but it's definitely manageable. I've been trying to practice time management XD

Yay! That's a great idea. I was going to ask y'all about times for challenges, since the High Summer readathon ends in September. I'm going to start thinking of prompts today!

alrighty!! we could probably have sign up open late August or the start of September and go from there!
In terms of prompts, just to throw out some ideas, I was thinking:
RAB= Read a book
1. Read a murder mystery
2. RAB where the main character doesn't have a sidekick
3. RAB that includes ghosts
Honestly, I've almost never read a horror/thriller before, so I'm totally open to other ideas! XD
