I thought Sean would actually get away and help Lucy figure out where they were keeping Kane. Sean is lucky they didn't kill him right away. The only reason they left him alive was because they wanted to use him as leverage against Kane.Yes, it was good that both hostages ended up at the same place.
I wasn't surprised that Sean got away. I expected Sean or Kane to escape, and whoever got out first would return for their brother. There is no way that Sean would allow Kane to stay captured any longer if he could get to him. Juarez didn't trust anyone to watch Sean again. He didn't trust the crew he put in place. Juarez didn't know that Sean and Kane together were a deadly option for him.
It didn’t surprise me in the least that Sean managed to escape, especially when he figured out the “men” guarding him weren’t Juarez’s men. It did set me back when he got recaptured but, to borrow your words, Sharon, putting him and Kane together was fool hearty as they were definitely a deadly option.
When they weren't closely watching Sean, I knew he would get away. Instead of setting a fire as a distraction, I wanted him to blow the trailer up a signal for anyone nearby to report it. Unfortunately, Sean's attempt as escape didn't end the way he planned, but he did end up with Kane and that made is easier for them to be rescued.
