Can the MPG be embedded? If so, please verify
Winter of the Wolf Moon
Mystery>Crime 17 users (in the middle right now)

Another embedded one I might use. Please verify for embedded MPG.
The Disappeared
Mystery>Crime 5 users (bottom listing)

with the new book page, there won't be any embedded genres. However, Crime is noted on the page.

And another. If embedded is OK, I'll use one of these 3, probably.
Styx & Stone

I don't have the new version of the book pages yet. Not sure when that transition will take place therefore still have the embedded genres as well.
Can I get this book verified for Crime? On the old version it is an embedded genre.

Thanks Sandy : )

It's there!
Obviously, since GR doesn't tell us anything, I don't know how they're working this out. But, it APPEARS that on the new page, the "parent" category has gone away, and just the sub-category is still there. For instance, instead of War>World War II, it would just say World War II. Caution, tho, this is just my guess, LOL!

Thanks for the insight. Agree that we are not properly informed of any changes until it actually starts happening. I wasn't aware that some members were already using the new version until earlier this week. Would be nice if GR would get all users on the same page(no pun intended) soon.

Bea wrote: "So, if I am still on the old version and see an imbedded Mystery>Crime, I can use it with some confidence. That sounds nice as I will probably be the last to change here. Never got the Beta version."
I have no idea how they're rolling this out - I was never on the beta version, either. All I know is that it will happen suddenly and unexpectedly!
But I expect that Crime will probably stick around. Understand, GR doesn't share any info with me, LOL! I'm making a guess based on what I've seen in the last few days.

In the beta the embedded genre was the one that showed up, so in your example Crime would stick around, but it's always better to verify that in the help thread. Since I was forced into the new version I can no longer verify that.

I did see the beta version and being a creature of habit I always reverted back to the old version lol because I am not at all impressed with the new version. I did leave GR some feedback during the testing phase, not that they listen to us anyway. But just an FYI I am now converted over to the new version : (

I loathed it and told them so. That said, I'm now getting "Thank you for participating in our new book page beta, which has now ended. We have returned you to the current version of the page while we prepare to bring the new book page experience to all of our customers." So I'm still seeing the old-style MPGs.
I have to say, though. If half the SRC types have the new one imposed, and half still have the old one, I imagine it's going to be a nightmare for our poor mods!
On the subject of which, I've got a couple to check if they can be confirmed or denied for Crime. As I said, they're there on the old version. I can't see the new one at present. Thanks.
Death of an Eye

The Eye of Osiris

Well, after GR put me on the new version, I left several negative but valid reviews after trying to navigate and use it, they immediately switched me back to the old version. I have been seeing that same little blurb you are seeing as well.

Australia has been called OZ because the beginning of Australia (Aus) sounds like OZ. Maybe. Australia's eastern half was claimed by Great Britain and initially settled through penal transportation to the colony of New South Wales . Read a book with a MPG of Crime.
