Wow. I don't think I'd like reading Chris's diary, and I don't know how much I like them playing around with the original story. But I may just have to try out this book.
I have Secret Brother but in the middle of two other books that were holds at the library...so so am trying really hard not to read any spoilers. I can't wait to read Secret Brother.

Their father was their mothers fathers half brother, so he was her uncle. He would technically be the children's father and great uncle at the same time. That is why they were in a sense disowned and moved away from the family. His name was also Christopher.

Thank you Bobbi, I almost started doubting myself. I knew they all had the same father, the mothers half uncle.
A good follow up book is Secret Brother... It's more on Cory after he was dropped off at the hospital
How come he didn't die??? Hooow did he survive??? I'm from Brazil so it's really hard to finds her books
He was dropped off at the hospital by his mother and her boyfriend but they left so that they wouldn't get in trouble. So another family was there because the grandfather was taking care of his grandchildren since their parents died years earlier and his grandson died the day Cory was brought in so he felt this connection with Cory and hired the best care for him and eventually moved him into his home and he became part of his family and had a good life.
Little late to this thread but I was so disappointed with Cory's story. I loved the original series a lot better.
I loved this series. The way that the main characters seemed to become so entangled and entrenched in the Dollanganger story, in a similar way as I did. The story of the Dollanganger children changed my life, my outlook, the way that I see the world and the interpersonal relationships between people in all walks of life. The conflicts presented in the "Christopher's Diary" series were realistic, and relatable to a degree, but the classic and underlying themes of Andrews' works, psychotic instability and horror, are ever-present. The way that the stories meshed together so artfully was astonishing yet again.

I liked how Christopher was portrayed and loved that they are doing a story-line that for years has been the trademark of a good VCA roleplay - CORY didn't die!
