Jodi (justjodi) | 21 comments Please add the E-BOOK version:

* Title - The Strange Scent of Saffron
* Author: Milena Babin; Translator: Oana Avasilichioaei
* ISBN: 9781771836203
* Publisher: Guernica Editions
* Publication date: 1 December 2021
* Format: E-Book
* Page count: 141
* Description: Lower Saint-Lawrence, summer 1988. Looking to escape the violent grip of her uncle and twin brother, Nil heads for Le Bic with a half-tamed fox in tow. There, the tough young woman meets Jacob, an HIV-positive restaurant owner mixed up in illegal saffron trafficking. Meanwhile in India, Amar is about to take part in his first harvest of the red gold while his sister Alaka tries to conceal the embarrassment of her first period. The Strange Scent of Saffron is a raw, gut-wrenching novel about the lack and gradual attainment of empowerment, partly through a sensorially-rich connection with the world.

* version is in ENGLISH, although the original version was written in French(-Canadian).

I must say that having to REQUEST a new version for the MANY, MANY e-book versions that are missing is going to be a huge waste of YOUR time, and of MY time. In the past I could add a new version myself in just moments. I think I understand WHY this has changed, but I suspect it's going to end up being extremely frustrating for many people.

Thank you.

Thanks so much, Sandra, but PLEASE, could there be an EASIER way to request these tasks that I used to do myself in less than one minute? I know you're busy - and that you're volunteers - but it's taking a MONTH to get this menial task completed for JUST ONE BOOK!! Not to mention I have to send you a PAGE FULL of information to do it!!!

Please tell me WHY it's not done automatically - or at the request of the PUBLISHER when they release their books in specific formats!?????!! I read ALL my thousands of books on an e-reader and when I mark a book as "Want to Read" the e-book version is almost NEVER THERE, leaving ME to have to request it, but there are JUST FAR TOO MANY to do this for!. And, again, I don't understand why it's MY responsibility to request it in the first place!!! WHY aren't the e-book formats added when they're published?? I'm just a reader, so why am I the one who has to CONTINUALLY add the e-book formats?? I can't be the ONLY e-book reader out there!!!

Please, if you will no longer allow ME to add these formats myself, then I can no longer request YOU to add them if you insist on me sending you SO MUCH INFORMATION and taking a MONTH to do it. This whole new set-up is SO RIDICULOUS! It's extremely user-UNfriendly!! Members should not have to do the work of publishers, for goodness sakes!

Goodreads has become a VERY FRUSTRATING and DISAPPOINTING place in the last while. This inability to add my own missing book formats, coupled with your HORRIBLE, truly BAD, BAD, BAD new-look format is making me question WHY I stay with Goodreads! Dare I suggest that once AMAZON took over, your member satisfaction went WAY, WAY DOWN? Over the last month or two, this DEPLORABLE situation is ALL Goodreads members are talking about. Do you have some kind of death-wish? Because you are becoming worse by the day, it seems. Please, clean up your act, or you'll lose millions of supporters.

Thank you for allowing me to offer feedback.
