Not going to lie, I haven't read any of those books! In high school, I actually did read The Scarlet Letter and How Green Is My Valley., I also remember actually finishing a book with a bright yellow cover, and it had something to do with Shangri-La, don't remember the title.
It is break time for me so I can do a lot more reading. Probably going t pick up Anna and the French Kiss soon, but I think I'll also start Maggot Moon and The Son Of Neptune.
My reading goal is 88, I have never kept track before and I'm already over halfway there, so I may need to change it, or just feel really good about myself by surpassing up by a lot :-) Marcus, if you do read Anna and the French Kiss, I really want to read that, so we could buddy read ;-)
I'm not! Just kidding! I think you said you were off this week, is that easier for you? Pick a day and I will try to make it work :-)
I have break, so I am free this whole week. We could maybe start tomorrow, 19 March. The Play With Me buddy read also properly starts then, so if anyone wants they can join in. It is free on Kindle!
I really need to finish this book by tomorrow, I have my in person book group! I am just dragging my feet, I got my new I pad, and I've been playing with it.
Hey guys, another short kindle freebie if you're interested and for quick points :)https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I'm rating, A Little Something Different, a buddy raid, very cute, and very short. I'll try, not promising to finish two books today.
LOL, my above post, I'm rating! Anyways, looking at the scores, if everyone on this team can read at least two books over the weekend, maybe, just maybe, we can catch those chasers! We can do it as a team, just try to post your reviews by the end of Sunday, we do need everyone to participate!
Sorry I haven't read much the last day or two, uni has been hectic! I'm hoping to finish one tomorrow and at least two over the weekend :)
I've just finished one but it's getting late so I'll post my review tomorrow :) didn't expect to finish one today so that's good!
Awesome!! I should finish the book I'm reading tonight. I have a lot more time left in my day :-) I think we are on track, just don't know how we can make up 30 points ;-) we have enough books, just not enough buddy reads!
. The points would be nice though :-) it is a really good book if anyone else is interested. Let me think about that, I just read it not too long ago, and I am not a fan of re-reading.. The points would be nice though :-) it is a really good book if anyone else is interested.
Berit, A Little Something Different was so cute! I read it a while ago and I hope you like it :) I will definitely have two reviews posted by Saturday. Great job team! :)
I'm doing some kindle freebie buddy reads this weekend. Just check under the contemporary folder and feel free to join =)
A Little Something Different, it is so good! I'm almost done a very quick read. Christina, are any of those freebies any good?
They will be ahead by five points. That's okay though, because I have two reviews to add with buddy reads and I am currently reading another book. Great job all!
Today as in Friday? If you want set it up for that day, and I can probably get to it Saturday or Sunday. , It is still Thursday here!
Great! I will add it to my many books I am reading this weekend :-) the only thing I have to do is go to my son's baseball game, so I will be reading a lot, fingers crossed!
I'll read the kindles and it I think they're good I'll recommend to you guys lol that's if you trust my opinion =p
Marcus, the thread for Anna and the French Kiss, is under series reads. I'm going to try to read five books this weekend, remember my weekend and after you walls :-)
S2 have a lot of people reading kindle freebies. I see them there, and each of them get two points for 100-200 pages. So come join me if you're interested!
Christina, are any of those books any good? I just to be honest would rather read books I really liked, I will try to get as much done this weekend as possible. I think all together we can pull ahead! !
I guess I just am hopeful, that this challenge is all about reading books you want to read. Rather than reading a bunch of very short books you have no desire of reading at all. That is just me :-) and remember I am old ;-) also, I think teamwork is key and together as a team we can definitely do it!
If all of us read at least two books, over the weekend, we could definitely catch up. It can't just be a few of us, reading short crappy books :-)
Heya BeritI must admit I get distracted very easily so the short reads are good for me. Some kindle freebies I've read so far are crap. But I liked
and
And regarding your second post, that's very true. I don't have much desire to read them because there's a pile I want to get through but they're not much good for (Edit: This) challenge because they're long T__T I did manage to get through a handful I really wanted to read so that's good :)
At this stage I'm trying to maximise points (I'm quite competitive and if I see short free reads I'm going to jump on them if the blurb sounds any good).
Christina, thanks for taking one for the team! I am just hopeful, that amazing team work, can rise above, crappy books :-) I am really glad, that you are enjoying some of the books you're reading ;-)
