Rachel Gunter I had to do of mice and men which I enjoyed but then we did a load of poetry which was less fun!

Elizabeth Emily Browne (snakesandladderrs) | 2186 comments Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. I did of mice and men and Macbeth as well:)

message 353: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Not going to lie, I haven't read any of those books! In high school, I actually did read The Scarlet Letter and How Green Is My Valley., I also remember actually finishing a book with a bright yellow cover, and it had something to do with Shangri-La, don't remember the title.

message 354: by Markus (new)

Markus It is break time for me so I can do a lot more reading. Probably going t pick up Anna and the French Kiss soon, but I think I'll also start Maggot Moon and The Son Of Neptune.

message 355: by Christina (new)

Christina | 4293 comments @Markus
Nice. Throw in a few buddy reads in there and we can catch up to the chasers ;)

message 356: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Just curious, what is everyone's reading challenge for the year? My goal is 110.

message 357: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Gunter Mine is 150 :) that's what I read last year so I'm trying for that again

message 358: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments My reading goal is 88, I have never kept track before and I'm already over halfway there, so I may need to change it, or just feel really good about myself by surpassing up by a lot :-) Marcus, if you do read Anna and the French Kiss, I really want to read that, so we could buddy read ;-)

message 359: by Markus (new)

Markus That would be great, Berit? When are you free?

message 360: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments I'm not! Just kidding! I think you said you were off this week, is that easier for you? Pick a day and I will try to make it work :-)

message 361: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Nice!

message 362: by Markus (new)

Markus I have break, so I am free this whole week. We could maybe start tomorrow, 19 March. The Play With Me buddy read also properly starts then, so if anyone wants they can join in. It is free on Kindle!

message 363: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Gunter Ooh I loved Anna and the French kiss! Hope you guys enjoy it :)

message 366: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments I'm rating, A Little Something Different, a buddy raid, very cute, and very short. I'll try, not promising to finish two books today.

message 367: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments LOL, my above post, I'm rating! Anyways, looking at the scores, if everyone on this team can read at least two books over the weekend, maybe, just maybe, we can catch those chasers! We can do it as a team, just try to post your reviews by the end of Sunday, we do need everyone to participate!

message 368: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments I have some time today so I will try to post another review.

message 369: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Gunter Sorry I haven't read much the last day or two, uni has been hectic! I'm hoping to finish one tomorrow and at least two over the weekend :)

Berit | 872 comments Those buddy reads, are killing us :-)

message 372: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Gunter I've just finished one but it's getting late so I'll post my review tomorrow :) didn't expect to finish one today so that's good!

message 373: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Awesome!! I should finish the book I'm reading tonight. I have a lot more time left in my day :-) I think we are on track, just don't know how we can make up 30 points ;-) we have enough books, just not enough buddy reads!

message 374: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Do any of you want to read lock and key with me?

message 375: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments . The points would be nice though :-) it is a really good book if anyone else is interested. Let me think about that, I just read it not too long ago, and I am not a fan of re-reading.. The points would be nice though :-) it is a really good book if anyone else is interested.

message 376: by phoebe (new)

phoebe (phoebecarrazco) | 538 comments Berit, A Little Something Different was so cute! I read it a while ago and I hope you like it :) I will definitely have two reviews posted by Saturday. Great job team! :)

message 378: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments A Little Something Different, it is so good! I'm almost done a very quick read. Christina, are any of those freebies any good?

message 379: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments I just looked at two and they added some new reviews which puts them ahead of ours

message 380: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments They will be ahead by five points. That's okay though, because I have two reviews to add with buddy reads and I am currently reading another book. Great job all!

message 381: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments I just posted a review, and I think someone else did as well. Did you count those points?

message 382: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Yes, I did.

message 383: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Would anyone like to read my heart and other black holes with me

Berit | 872 comments When are you starting it? I do really want to read that book.

message 385: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments What is the soonest you can start? I would like to start it today.

message 386: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Today as in Friday? If you want set it up for that day, and I can probably get to it Saturday or Sunday. , It is still Thursday here!

message 387: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Okay, I will ask the mods.

message 388: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Oh, I forgot your three hours behind.

message 389: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Great! I will add it to my many books I am reading this weekend :-) the only thing I have to do is go to my son's baseball game, so I will be reading a lot, fingers crossed!

message 390: by Christina (new)

Christina | 4293 comments I'll read the kindles and it I think they're good I'll recommend to you guys lol that's if you trust my opinion =p

message 391: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Marcus, the thread for Anna and the French Kiss, is under series reads. I'm going to try to read five books this weekend, remember my weekend and after you walls :-)

message 392: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Gunter Uh oh! Team s2 are ahead!

message 393: by Christina (new)

Christina | 4293 comments S2 have a lot of people reading kindle freebies. I see them there, and each of them get two points for 100-200 pages. So come join me if you're interested!

message 394: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Christina, are any of those books any good? I just to be honest would rather read books I really liked, I will try to get as much done this weekend as possible. I think all together we can pull ahead! !

message 395: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments I guess I just am hopeful, that this challenge is all about reading books you want to read. Rather than reading a bunch of very short books you have no desire of reading at all. That is just me :-) and remember I am old ;-) also, I think teamwork is key and together as a team we can definitely do it!

message 396: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments If all of us read at least two books, over the weekend, we could definitely catch up. It can't just be a few of us, reading short crappy books :-)

message 397: by Christina (new)

Christina | 4293 comments Heya Berit
I must admit I get distracted very easily so the short reads are good for me. Some kindle freebies I've read so far are crap. But I liked Play With Me (Grover Beach Team, #1) by Anna Katmore and Love at First Date (Better Date than Never, #1) by Susan Hatler

message 398: by Christina (last edited Mar 21, 2015 05:18AM) (new)

Christina | 4293 comments And regarding your second post, that's very true. I don't have much desire to read them because there's a pile I want to get through but they're not much good for (Edit: This) challenge because they're long T__T

I did manage to get through a handful I really wanted to read so that's good :)

At this stage I'm trying to maximise points (I'm quite competitive and if I see short free reads I'm going to jump on them if the blurb sounds any good).

message 399: by Berit (new)

Berit | 872 comments Christina, thanks for taking one for the team! I am just hopeful, that amazing team work, can rise above, crappy books :-) I am really glad, that you are enjoying some of the books you're reading ;-)

message 400: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Gunter I've been mainly reading my normal books, usually 300 pages ish, but I've read a few shorter books too. I'm reading a couple of the kindle freebies to boost points but I do agree with you Berit about the team work should be enough rather than just reading the short kindle books for points.
