Alexandria Green | 2 comments The paranormal romance book series is something I read around 2010, it is about a red headed heroine that has two younger sisters. She is chosen to marry the leader of a race of magic wielding, shapeshifting, griffin-like creatures. She believes she is human, but she is actually one of the creatures whose powers has been sealed away because a dark force is searching for her. The darkness also has her parents held captive and has had them captive for all of her life.

She was chosen as his betrothed because of the innate power she has to heal. This is because the dark force has been sapping the life force of all of the eggs/ babies that are born to this race which is causing infertility and putting them at risk of possible extinction. The group of creatures has a sacred place where the “pride” lives. I think they refer to their species as taryn or tarens. Also I remember that the leader of the shapeshifters turns into a large black griffin like creature with (I think) golden straitions & one of his subordinates was a twin named Kieran.

The covers of the book series were pink and purple and possibly blue with a woman on the cover. It was set in another world with magic, however in the human city magic was condemned in the heroines household. It was also in an era that was not modern, however it wasn’t medieval. I believe the author used a two initial and last name structure. Example: A. A. Applesworth.

Please help me, I remember details but can’t remember the author or the titles of the books in the series.
