This is a spin-off of the Knitting in the City series. So perhaps we could begin with that one.

I looked at that and couldn’t find the connection. Even checked the author’s website. Have you read either? I know it says that on the series page but I can’t find that reference anywhere else.

Never mind - I see Shelby explained it :)
I've read the first two Knitting Club books. I loved #1 but #2 was so-so mainly because I disliked the heroine. Other readers like her though.
There is also a spin off of the Winston brothers - Solving for Pie

It's time to begin nominating your choice of a mystery series you'd like considered for the rest of 2022 and into 2023. Since the historical romance series we’re currently reading, The Ravenels, will be ending in October, we will also begin nominating series in all other genres for consideration. To make things easier for you, only indicate the genre for all mystery series nominated.
There are only a few rules:
1. You're limited to nominating a maximum of three series for the mystery genre and three for all others. Please indicate “mystery” in your nominations for that category.
2. Each nominated series must have at least three books.
3. The books in the series must be available for purchase.
4. Your nomination must include the series name and author (check on Goodreads for the proper series name).
Nominations will close after August 15 and two polls will be created for voting (mystery and mixed genres). The top five in each poll will move to a final vote unless there’s a clear choice.
