Good morning! I’ll be finishing up Dragon Pearl this afternoon after work. Good read, lots going on. There’s ghost and magic all in an intergalactic space adventure. Quite a combo!
Then diving into my next read. Haven’t decided which one just yet. Might just close my eyes and pick.

Hey team! I just finished the Lion of Mars. Loved it!
I don’t think I would have picked up this book if it hadn’t been for this challenge. I’m so glad I did. I will be getting it for my school library. I think the students will really like it.

Eden, you have entered all my books so far. I’ll be finishing up another today. I’ll update the sheet.
I’ve finished up one of my summer gigs yesterday(summer school), so I’ll have tons more time to read now. 🤓yay!
I’m wondering about one of the books I’m planning on reading. Wings of fire #3 the hidden kingdom. It’s part of a series that’s very popular in my library. Some of the dragons are fire breathing and are fire resistant. Can we count that for the task of fire- related superpowers? Otherwise it can count as a graphic novel adaptation. Or maybe more, I haven’t read it yet.
Also, I need help finding a book to finish the Out of Time category. Does anyone know a book with an alien that is in disguise as a human? If I complete the category we get bonus points, so I really want to find a book for this!

I just finished The Long-Lost Home. Protagonist's name is Penelope, or Penny for short. Dead City protanonist's name is Molly. Nightbooks is Alex. What Lives in the Woods is Ginny. Hope this helps.

How the points work:
- The first 5 bonus tasks are worth 3 points each. If all 5 are completed there’s an extra 10 points.
- The second 7 bonus tasks are worth 5 points each. If all 7 are completed there’s an extra 15 points.
- Page points apply.
- There are no extra points if one or two people complete the first 5 or second 7 tasks alone (like there is for other categories).

Remember: only books started on or after 15th August (your time) can be counted towards the bonus tasks!

Eden, I can't tell for sure if #9 is a book with two letter "l"s (lowercase l) or "I"s (uppercase I) but I think this book would fit either way. Let me know what you think. :)

Yay, us! I just read Out of the Wild Night. I was at the library picking up some other books for this challenge when I ran across this one. Since it says on page 1, "On the bad side, being dead....I died one hundred years ago, plus a few days." I thought, "Oh! Great! a ghost as a protagonist!" But no, she's the narrator with a job to do. Thankfully, the book fit in another slot, so it wasn't a "waste!"

Oh yes Eden, please finish off the I task. I don't mind at all. I'm good for anything that gets us more points as a team. I thought you were just looking for recommendations (although I will probably read The Accidental Keyhand at some later point).
