Hey Tiffany! It's all yours! :)
On another note, I finally finished Small Spaces by Katherine Arden.
I want to make my way through category 8 so I can finish it and have one more category completed.

What first names does all your protagonists have?
I also have Olivia (Ollie on short) from Small Spaces.

I will add these to our Sheet as well, now.
P.S. I started Alone by Megan E. Freeman for bonus task 2.
I hope you guys are okay with this.
Hi Team Matilda Wormwood!
The bonus tasks have now been added to your spreadsheet!🎉
How the points work:
- The first 5 bonus tasks are worth 3 points each. If all 5 are completed there’s an extra 10 points.
- The second 7 bonus tasks are worth 5 points each. If all 7 are completed there’s an extra 15 points.
- Page points apply.
- There are no extra points if one or two people complete the first 5 or second 7 tasks alone (like there is for other categories).
Remember: only books started on or after 15th August (your time) can be counted towards the bonus tasks!

Also Tiffany seeing as I’m here I might as well give answers to your questions directly.
1. Learning to sail counts.
2. They need to actually be one.
3. The second option of what you said counts.
4. No it has to be fairies.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask your team captain to pass them on or you can send me a private message, whatever suits you.

I also read Queen of the Sea, which I loved! I put it in the spreadsheet for bonus task 3 (title with a Q) for now, but we can also move it if need be to maximize our points.

So i am done with 2 books-
How to be a writer
A wrinkle in time
Sorry have not been active i am very ill

Let's try to focus on the bonus tasks so we can have more points. ;)
I'm almost done with Alone by Megan E. Freeman for bonus task 2.

Hey Tanaya, sorry you feel this way.
Can you please put in the sheet the books you have finished and for what tasks? So we can see where are we staying with the total points.

Just when you get a chance add your books to the tracking sheet. I'm sure one of us can add them into the main sheet for your points to be calculated, but we'll need to know the dates you read them and what tasks they fulfill.

I'm going to work on some of the bonus tasks next.

Basil (Basil of Baker Street)
Kevin (Captain Grey)
Shaheen/Shahi (Jukebox)
Margaret/Kit (Intruders at Rivermead Manor: A Kit Mystery)
Marisol (Isla to Island)
Eliza (Eliza Bing Is (Not) a Big, Fat Quitter)
Jolina (Sugar and Spite)
Pierre/Pie and Joseph John/JJ (Moonwalking)
Winifred/Winnie (Tuck Everlasting)
Naledi (Journey to Jo'burg: A South African Story)
Vega (Long Distance)
Mary (Set Me Free)
Pam (The Night Flyers)
Rowan (Oakwing: A Fairy's Tale)
Samantha (Samantha's Story Collection American Girl: Samantha,)
Margaret/Maggie (Queen of the Sea)
Saige (Saige; Saige Paints the Sky)
Anacaona (Anacaona: Golden Flower, Haiti, 1490)
Shirley and Jamila (Shirley & Jamila Save Their Summer; Shirley and Jamila's Big Fall)
Abby (Fairest of All)
Elizabeth (Elizabeth I: Red Rose of the House of Tudor, England, 1544)
Sophia (Sophia's War: A Tale of the Revolution)

I finished the book for BT 2.
Is it okay with everyone if I read a book for BT 12?
I can see someone wrote How to be a writer in the title box, but no name or date.
Please let me know, I'm almost done with the book. :)

I'm reading two books now (one on audio, and one in print). Elizabeth I: Red Rose of the House of Tudor, England, 1544 can fit either bonus task 9 or 11, so let me know which would be better to fill.
Sophia's War: A Tale of the Revolution will fill task 41, so between Grace and I that category should be completed. (I can move one of my other books to number 44.)

@Tiffany I can see that 11 is already filled, use it for 9. :)
Task 41 sounds great if you can fulfill it.
I just finished Wicked Nix by Lena Coakley and my edition has 182 pages, so it could fulfill task BT 12.
But it also fulfills task 40 in my category, so I will fulfill this one for now. :)

Just added Elizabeth I for BT 9!

Hey Tiffany,
Just found that for task 3 I can read Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret by Judy Blume.
Because he name is Margaret as the protagonists from the book you read for task 71.
Starting it now.
@Grace how ia Narnia going? Maybe we can finish that combination so we can get category 1 done! <3

I’m going to be pretty busy for the rest of the month since I just started back at school, so those are the only books I will for sure be able to finish. I might be able to do a couple more, but I can’t promise anything.

We've got 4, 6, 8, 10, and 11 left. You mentioned reading Heidi for 10, and as soon as I finish Sophia's War I'm going to start one that fits number 11. That leaves 4, 6, and 8. I know I have several books that can fit 6. Let me know if that sounds like a good plan to you, and if so which numbers you can definitely read for.
I'll finish Sofia's War tonight! I only have a couple more books to read to finish up my categories too.
P.S. You might notice a small dip in points because I moved a book from one category to another, but don't worry about it. I'll have it fixed soon!

Yes, I will read Heidi for BT 10 and maybe A Wrinkle in Time for BT 6.
@Grace Great, I will try to finish Prince Caspian faster and Are you there, God? It's me, Margaret for task 3 so we can finish category 1.
I also need to finish The house with a clock in its walls and so complete category 8.

Right now I'm reading Rory's Promise because it's the book this month for another book club I'm in, but here's what I'm planning to read the rest of this week.
Wicked Nix for task 72, which will complete category 15.
The Magical Reality of Nadia for Bonus Task 4, the last of the 3-point bonus tasks.
I've been having problems with my internet connection, so if I seem to disappear for a few days and can't add my books into the spreadsheet, then that's why. I promise I'll still be reading!

I finished Category 8 yesterday!
@Tiffany I found Tune it out as an audiobook on Scribd so I'll listen to it for task 80 (will finish it tomorrow, hopefully). It's only 5 hours on normal speed and I usually listen it on 1.20x speed.
We have 6 more days so we can do this!

I've read a few more books since I checked in last and have added them to the spreadsheet. I should be able to squeeze in at least a couple more before the deadline.
By the way, I think I see a way for us to get more points if we shuffle a few things around. @Dana, do you mind if I move one or two of your books to different tasks? Also, if you need me to read for either of the last two bonus tasks just let me know!

Hey Dana it’s an excellent point and one I’d already considered just last night. I can’t remember how we did it last year but this year I’ll announce the winners on 2nd September so everyone has till then to finalise their spreadsheet. I’ll share this with all teams and I’m making new pages for discussions of our fave challenge reads so I’ll share the link for that too.
So she will also share these with us aaand you can fill them out tomorrow.
Hi Team Matilda Wormwood!
Today is the last day of the Challenge! Please remember only books finished by midnight your time tonight can count towards the challenge!
To give you and your team captain time to organise any last minute additions and changes to your team spreadsheet, the winners of the challenge will be announced on 2nd September.
And if you’d like to share some of your favourite reads of the challenge with others you can do so here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I love seeing all the fun and different books people read for the challenge and getting some great recommendations for next year!
Speaking of next year, if you have any cool ideas of things to add to the challenge or suggestions or improvements that can be made please feel free to leave a comment here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... or private message me if you prefer. I’ll be the first to admit the challenge wasn’t perfect but it never is and every year is a learning curve so I’m looking forward to building on what I’ve learnt this year with an even better challenge for you all next year!

It's totally fine as I didn't manage to finish those I marked in.
I'm sorry if I let anyone down.
However, it was a hard day at work so I didn't make it with category 1.
But honestly I'm so happy I managed to read with you and Grace, it was nice being a team! :)
And we ended up on 4th place and we were only 3 so I think that's great!!
Tiffany, you read the most, you totally rocked!
Hopefully I'll get to see you next year as well. :)

I'm kind of blown away by how much I was able to read this month. It was way more than my usual monthly average! The challenge really motivated me and got me excited to find books to fit all the different tasks.

It was amazing reading with you and yes, hopefully we'll meet again next year.
And if we are on opposite teams I'm pretty sure you'll beat me haha :D.
