This is a great recommendation. It was too short though. I want to know what happened next. It was even more meaningful to me because I already knew about the Magdalene Laundries. The author's brief note at the end helps add some context about how widespread it was. In terms of the number of lives affected (and lost) in Ireland, I think this Catholic Church scandal might rival the Priest sex abuse cases.

I just finished it but haven't reviewed it yet. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the sequel.
