As an example of this kind of series is, "The Princess Tales" by Gail Carson Levine. It is listed as a series despite not having shared characters throughout.
There's also the Once Upon a Time series, though it may be designated differently as the books in it aren't numbered. Could my series be changed to that kind of series instead if that would solve the issue?

Both of the above have pages for their serieses despite having different worlds and authors. Are these a different kind of series? Maybe an imprint?
Whatever it is, could my series be turned into whatever kind of series/imprint/group the above are? I think that will solve the issue with them not all being in the same universe. Thanks!

Thanks!

If they do not meet Goodreads criteria for being a series, the series page should be deleted -- not added to.
To be a series on Goodreads, books need to have more than a common theme -- like characters in common, an overarching storyline, a shared universe, etc. It does not seem like these meet that criteria.

are serieses. They are essentially the same as mine. They have different authors for the different books in the series, they have different settings for them, they all have different characters, but they are demonstrably serieses, like mine is.
Mine are a series in that they all are hour-ish long reads, they all have happy endings, and they're family friendly. They are all re-tellings of popular fairy tales. Again, they bear a lot of similarities to the serieses I linked to above. I'm honestly confused about what the problem is here as goodread's definition of a series either has other possibilities as well or is being ignored for some serieses but not all. Could someone explain the difference between the serieses I linked to above and mine? Because I guess I'm missing something but I'm confused as to what it is I'm missing.

None of those are qualities that make a series on GR. They need to actually be connected to one another.
Unless they have characters in common or the like, all 3 series pages need to be removed.
Note to Librarians: That means the "series" info needs to be moved from the title to the edition field for each book, and then the series pages need to be deleted. Bonus points if you add a Listopia for each non-series as well.
If no one else gets to it before then, I might have time next week.
