I spent decades writing my fiction work listed above. Once it was done, I took some time to analyze the themes I'd found. I put those thoughts together and have a book that is almost ready to publish. It's part author's notes and part reflection. It takes a look at the scriptures that inspired portions of the story, and traces some of the themes as they developed from their origins in the original manuscript on through to the conclusion.
My intent is to have it pair with the fiction book, building and clarifying the themes. It is a case study in self-publishing, and a way of documenting the creative process from end to end. It tells the story of how the epic fiction piece came together. It's in that 'writing about writing' category. I think if I do it right, it can be inspirational on multiple fronts.
Tentatively titled "Unfolding the Layers of Creativity." It would fit in the space similar to 'Beren and Luthien' or other books about books.
So I'd like a few readers who haven't read the original fiction work to give this new book a read and provide some feedback. If you are interested, please send me a note. For more info you can check out my author page on amazon, or my jamesemerrittsdauthor page on Facebook.
