The reason why I read this book...

When I was 16 I worked at the Emporia Mall, in Emporia, Kansas. I wasn't suppose to work that day, but I got called in. There were no sirens in 1974, If there were I certainly did not hear any. But I was working at Woolco, when I heard this noise like a very loud Firecracker! The roof peeled off like a can opener opening up a can. I remember running with another girl to a store room.
