Turns out Andrea is an undercover DEA agent assigned to a task force. Should they have let Faz and Del know? Was there a better way for Andrea to sideline Faz that might have spared him that vicious beating?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments Andrea didn't do anything to make me change my initial impression of her. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't justify her lying about Faz's actions during the shooting. He was following Andrea because she lied. If he died, it would be on her.

This was not the way to get him to back off. Any good cop knows that another good cop will just dig deeper, which he did. She put him at serious risk. What did she think he’d do knowing she’d lied about him and put his career at risk?

Once they identified Lopez and Andrea was aware that Little Jimmy had put a hit out on Faz, they should have been brought in. She did nothing to protect him, nor did Nolasco. This was a FUBAR.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Yes, this situation could have been handled much better. I can understand not broadcasting to the detectives that Andrea was from the DEA. She was there to get a line on Little Jimmy's drug operation and knew that the A-team was working a case where he was a suspect.

But shooting Lopez, then blaming Faz for yelling "gun" was ridiculous. Of course, he would try to clear his name. That almost got him killed. And after learning that Little Jimmy had put a hit on Faz, she should have went straight to the brass and told them he needed to be off the streets.

Exactly!

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments You are right. I would never trust her even when we found out she was DEA.
