Linda Castillo's Kate Burkholder series? The first book Sworn to Silence is the 1st book of the series. There's a total of 14 and the newest book is The Hidden One

Kate Burkholder left the Amish when she was I believe 18. She come back to become the sheriff.

Hello! At first my patron said the Kate Burkholder series wasn't correct but after going through several other series as well, I pulled a few of the older books from the series for her so she could have a refresher and TADA it is correct.
