[Sent to Support] Issues with automated import feeds

I was wondering if there's a way to prevent that automated import feeds can:
1) overwrite existing book descriptions with a blanc 'book description' set as default
2) overwrite existing original publication date to a later one?


Background information:
1) There were several books I added a book with a book description only to stumble several weeks or months later about that same book record with empty desription again, re-added it and as soon as the book got a new cover had to do it again. It's getting more and more frustrating to do the same work time and again.

2) I've stumbled over several classics in the last months with original publication dates many years or decades after the death of the author (I'm aware it happens from time to time works are published post-humously) though not possible for works officially listed as published during the lifetime of that author. The two examples I can still remember were books
Andrew Murray. I set those in a working foder in my bookmark library, will research his works in depths and make the necassary changes as soon as I'm feeling better again (don't want to add any errors right now, which would've been rather likely)
Henryk Sienkiewicz as soon as I have found out for me how to work with the work-ID without getting confused all the time I'll combine and re-check his publication dates as well
