Miriam | 1831 comments If they are editions of the same book, then yes they get combined.

Is this a fiction or a non-fiction book?
If it's fiction, then unless it's an anthology, they editor doesn't get listed on the book record.

Miriam | 1831 comments Are the books the same content?

If they wrote the Introduction, then they would be listed for that rather than as editor.

(Or if it is a critical edition of a classic book.)

You're right. I tend to class those under non-fiction mentally so I didn't think of that (Only time I've used them is a classroom setting so I think of them more like textbooks)
