The tool is not needed, as the book that is already listed is the newer book, so the ISBN stays on that edition.

aaah okay that does work exactly the same way as the ACE tool then just with a different text in the note?

(had the hope it would do something special so that both editions can be found)

The tool creates a Librarian Note with a link; I copy those notes to the description field of the two affected records.
