J.D. Dudycha Hello,

I just wanted to take a brief moment to introduce myself. My name is Jon but you can call me JD. Baseball is in my blood. I have been around the game my entire life. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to play baseball in college. After finishing up with my eligibility I went into coaching. I've coached all over the country, but recently retired due to the birth of my son.

Now my days are filled with the life and times of a three year old boy. However, since I've been home with him I've developed a passion for writing.

I will be publishing my first novel, "Paint the Black," this spring/summer. Here's a brief synopsis:

Jack Burke isn’t your prototypical teenager. Blessed with a ton talent in the game of baseball, “Paint the Black” takes you through three seasons of Jack’s minor league baseball career. Even though his successes on the field have him climbing the proverbial baseball ladder, his off the field addictions carry him deep inside a rabbit hole of an immoral kind.

Without the help of a God fearing teammate, this prodigal could find his way broke, dead, or worst of all, out of the game of baseball for good.

I am happy to be a part of this group and look forward to the discussions.

Michael Linn | 11288 comments Welcome JD to the baseball blood bank where you can at least get a transfusion when you need it. There are several threads where we discuss everything about our game. Jump in, bring your water-wings, & as a player, before too long we`ll be picking what`s left of your brain. See you on a thread.

Welcome JD. Feel free to dive in--the 'current baseball topics' always has a good discussion of stuff. The only caveat is that if you think everyone who is in the Hall of Fame currently belongs there, you're probably in for an argument.
