I'm more likely to vote for something like a Wizard or Alice prompt because it is the anniversary of the book than for random reasons.
Whereas 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit so while I'm not a rabbit person, I would vote for it.

But you got a lot of interest here and we even started a thread about it, which can always be used in the future. Your idea is original, which is a big plus. (Of course, some people see different and reject it!)"Thank you for saying that :) I was going for something different with the prompt, but apparently it was too different for some voters – enough to not even be polarizing, which I would have expected given the mostly positive reactions in the discussion threads.
Ah, well. Perhaps next year^^
Wow, completely missed this because I got hit with the stomach flu yesterday. I'm pretty happy with the results. The only one I'm slightly disappointed about is the body of water prompt, because I was hoping it could be reworked to be a cover prompt instead (or in addition).

One thing you might consider next time is increasing the number of degrees of separation to 3 or 4.
Some people do not count a degree of separation for a person who participates in the same GR group. In many cases it is an online name, not a person I know individually.
