This novel was okay, but nothing stellar. I wasn't that keen on the story overall--I wanted to like it, but it just missed the mark by a bit. Two of my GR friends who normally likes this author thought that this wasn't as good as her other novels, so I've added a higher rated one to my want to read shelf.

Joe was okay, but there were so many issues and things crammed into this and I could not understand why he (view spoiler)[stayed friends with that horrible Kristi so long and didn't bother outing her hypocrisy or why no one else from their town did. She was as shallow and selfish of a human being as there is. (hide spoiler)] That said, I did like (view spoiler)[ his love for his wife and the ending where he was holding her was sweet.
