Stan and Mitch were in a relationship (the reason for his divorce from Victoria), Simon was running an illegal gambling operation and witnessed the murder of the Albright family and Victoria was heading an enterprise that was laundering money from the gambling operation. Faith ordered the murders of the Albright family and Stan. Aside from Faith, these all seemed like law abiding people. How did they stay under the radar of law enforcement? Were you able to deduce any of this?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments This was a very well-run organization. Everyone made lots of money and no one lived outside their means. White collar crime is hard to prove, and these were very smart people who had been doing this for years. They bought the police and were able to stay in the shadows by holding regular jobs.

Robin (robinmy) | 2466 comments I had a hard time following the whole situation. The one thing I figured out (guessed) early in the story was that Mitch and Victoria divorced because he was gay and in love with Stan.

As far as staying under the radar, I think the local police knew about the gambling operation and just looked the other way.

There’s no way these people were getting away with all of this stuff unnoticed. Simon hadn’t even worked in three years! People with money are too often given a pass and it seemed to be true with these people. On the surface, they looked like good citizens. The reality was awful.
