Nominations are now open for August, 2022!

The authors exempt from nomination, since we've already selected one of their books this year, Laura Bradford, Linda Byler, Amanda Flower, Charlotte Hubbard, Marta Perry, and Sarah Price, because we make exceptions for novella collections. If you're not sure if your book is eligible for nomination, please leave a comment and one of the moderators will get back to you!

Rules:
1. Any Amish-themed novel is eligible.
2. One nomination per person.
3. If two people nominate the same book, each person's vote counts. So the book will feature twice in the list to give each vote an equal chance.
4. Nominations run until the 14th of the month, with the winner announced on the 15th.
5. The winning book is chosen using Random.org to make it completely fair.
6. Please don't nominate a book we have already read. You can see our list of previous group reads here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... or look at the group read's bookshelf here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books... (it includes the Christian group read as well).
7. Only nominate the first book in a series UNLESS we have already read #1 (see above link). In this case, #2 is then eligible for nomination!

Nominate away!!

#1. A Plain and Sweet Christmas Romance Collection by Jerry S. Eicher, Lauralee Bliss, Ramona K. Cecil, Dianne Christner, Melanie Dobson, Olivia Newport, Claire Sanders, Anna Schmidt, Rachael O. Phillips-- Natalie
#2. The Stone Wall by Beverly Lewis -- Barbara
#3. The Bake Shop (Amish Marketplace #1) by Amy Clipston -- Katrina
#4. Shelter in the Storm (Johns Mill Amish Romance #1) by Laurel Blount -- Diane
#5. The Bake Shop (Amish Marketplace #1) by Amy Clipston -- Jennifer
#6. Shelter in the Storm (Johns Mill Amish Romance #1) by Laurel Blount -- Tracy
#7. Becoming Bea (The Courtships of Lancaster County #4) by Leslie Gould -- Jazmyne
#8.

I'm guessing that everyone is on vacation this week since we haven't seen many nominations!

Jazmyne - I find myself stuck. Your selection was our June, 2013 read. I know what our rules say. I know it's been 9 years since we read it. I don't (and maybe I should) know how many of our members from then are active now.

I'd like to throw your nomination in the ring so that we can continue to get nominations from folks that are newer to the group but at the same time I don't want to discourage our longtime members to read along with us. Let me find out what our other moderators think about this.

Would you be willing to nominate something else this month?

Of course, I can nominate something else this month.

It seems that all the previous books in the series have been read, so I will nominate Becoming Bea (The Courtships of Lancaster County, #4) by Leslie Gould .
