Book linked to wrong author, authors have same name

Hi Olivia, thanks so much for helping me out here. It's confusing as A Wanted Man is the published release of The Baby and The Brandy, and Morte Point is that for Apex. The other books you mentioned are from my self-publishing days 5 years ago, and are no longer part of the picture. In fact, I'd got in touch with Goodreads a while back asking for the non-canonical books to be removed, to solve this exact issue of confusion, but I couldn't get any traction.

So, to answer your question in clarity, the only two books of the Ben Bracken series are:

#1 A Wanted Man
#2 Morte Point

Everything else is from a bygone era and wish were removed! Hope that clears everything up and thanks so much again!

If they are previous editions of the same book they should be combined.
Goodreads does not remove out of print books or editions, so they need to stay.

To have a new edition shown on the series page you can set it as default editions (I linked the instructions in my previous reply).

Could you also let us know on the 'origin' books? Are they also two editions of the same work?

Thank you for your efforts! The Origin books are nothing to do with the series - I'm afraid my readers are confused enough as it is, as these are not part of the series in any way. In fact I'm sure now combining the books will only increase confusion now, but we'll see how it pans out.

I've tried to make my new release of Morte Point (this one: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...) the primary edition, but it won't let me? I've followed the instructions provided! Considering this is out next week, it's hugely important!

you you are not able to set a default edition you would need to contact support to hep you with it.
Librarians do not have access to these settings.

I have a similar problem that I just made worse. My Name is Mike Monahan and I have 5 books listed here, Barracuda 1-3, The Treasure of Hart Island and The Phantom of Penn Station. My books are listed with other Mike Monahan's. I tried to combine just my books and away they went. Is there a way I can uncombine my books? I'd rather go back to having my books listed with the other Mike Monahan's than have them lost in cyberspace.

I have separated them back out again. Only combine the exact same book with other editions.

Hi, I just added a new book to my profile, however the book is a collection with 4 (including me) contributing authors. I've added all the authors (3 of whom are GR verified.) Two of the names link to the other authors' profiles, but a third does not (and one is not yet on GR.) Is there any way to get Rebecca Sharp linked to the author's GR pages instead of a search page? (As there are more than one Rebecca Sharps on GR.)

If you are adding the books manually, you need to put three spaces between your first and last name.
