There appears to have been a change to the edit page. There is now a separate field to add the ASIN rather than the link to switch to the ASIN field.

I don't see how that would stop the workaround. It probably just makes it more obvious for authors to use the correct field. I wasn't necessarily complaining, although I noticed the edition field is no longer "above the fold" and so takes an extra key stroke for me moving words out of the title into that field.
The workaround was to toggle back and forth between ASIN and ISBN. That removed whatever was there even though we couldn't change it directly.

I thought that only worked for editions that were entered years ago with the error of both an ASIN and an ISBN entered in the same edition.
I hope you can't add both at the same time because there will be quite some authors doing that wrong then (judging by the requests I see here in the group and the fact that people often fill out as much as possible -.-)Wonder how often I'll put the publisher wrong.

We'll probably find out whether or not the program alerts us to entry errors.
Change is hard. But we'll get used to it.
