What is the name of this Philip R Craig book

I read this book in mid 1990s. It is one of the Martha Vineyard books by Philip R Craig. I don't remember much except that in the beginning he is in a scuffel (fight) and they roll around and end up in water. J. W. Jackson made a statement that when you live on an island you can expect to get wet.

Can anyone help me? I would like to re read this book.

Have you read the descriptions of the books in the series?
If it was the mid-90s, it would have to be one of the first several books.
