@ Sarah - Oh I thought you agreed to this date, did I totally muddle everything up? The thread can get kinda confusing sometimes when multiple buddy reads are being organized.

Glad to know it's not just me. This book makes me doubt my imagination. I can visualize practically nothing.

Me too. I'm just reading to finish it. Oh dear, why did I download the sequel too. (facepalm)
I was upset because I missed the sequel at first, then it was put back onto netgalley so i downloaded it. can't say I'm looking forward to it now!
