Andy Of The Blacks | 2327 comments Ehy everyone! Should we use the third skip for something for round 2, just not to lose it? ;)

Ta || bookishbluehead (bookishbluehead) | 648 comments Andy wrote: "Ehy everyone! Should we use the third skip for something for round 2, just not to lose it? ;)"

I think we should :) Maybe for 'Publication date has the numbers 7, 8, 9 in it' or 'Author’s first name is the same as your middle name'?

Kade Gulluscio (kadebraylen) | 3757 comments I found a book for 7, 8, 9 if we choose to not skip it. Totally up to y’all though!

If you found a book, then we should use the skip for something else. :)

I agree with this, I will not be reading any long series next month

Vanessa Gayle ⚔️ Fangirl Faction (fangirlfaction) | 2928 comments Works for me. I am not reading any series that are quite that long either.

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 5338 comments Hey team, I have been gone on vacation to Canada, had a new grandson born, and other things RL going on. It'll take me some time to review my books I've read (meaning freshen my memory) and then write my reviews for them and post in the review thread, but I'll get caught up...eventually. I'm back and working on everything!

But I should be back to my normal reading schedule. I posted my first book in awhile and I went off what was open on the spreadsheet. message 180: by Kade (new)

Kade Gulluscio (kadebraylen) | 3757 comments OH also - Vicki had a great point in the review thread. It looks like some don't use the spreadsheet which has led to some repeat claims for prompts. I know I personally look at the spreadsheet to see what's claimed and finished, because it can get a little difficult judging that from the review thread.
How can we compromise on it all? If someone isn't able to use the spreadsheet / doesn't want to, could we fill it in for them? if so, can we find a system where they maybe just post in here and tell us what they reviewed / filled and we fill it in the spreadsheet so we can be updated?

sorry if i'm stepping on any toes / overstepping.

Maybe we can all try to help so you don't have to do it all either. I love using the spreadsheets, especially when i'm not home or able to view the actual website to check on the review, [ the app sucks ]. lol. I usually check the spreadsheets for this challenge and the villain one before i start my next book to make sure it fits one of the challenges. lol. maybe the people who don't want to use the spreadsheets can just comment in here with something like "read X book for X prompt, reviewed t" and we can update the spreadsheet for them.

You're amazing! I can't do middle name either - it's Blaxter which isn't really a name usually lol.

And definitely, let's help each other in the spreadsheet - if people are on a phone or something, then it's really hard to do!

message 187: by Celia (new)

Celia Buell (semi hiatus) (celiareadsbooks) | 3944 comments Also got art on cover. All on spreadsheet. Still waiting to hear back for sunglasses too.

message 188: by Kade (new)

Kade Gulluscio (kadebraylen) | 3757 comments So we have skips left right? Can we all decide on a skip or if we should skip any? Seems as though no one can or desires to fill the middle name one.

Here are all the titles we have open. I know some said they can possibly do some so I’ll label those. If you can take any of the open ones, let me know or let me know which we should skip?

authors first name starts with Z - ( zadie smith is only author I can think of )
Flip flops on cover
Sunglasses on cover - possibly filled
7, 8, 9 - possibly filled
Book off Aly’s favorite reads
One name author - I can probably take if no one else does
Authors first name is same as your middle name -( this works best for someone with a common middle name - like Ann or nicole. Lol )
Book off 1st page or best boyfriends list
Book within first 25 on YA weapons list
Tagged sports on 1st page
Mc is a teacher
Character with seasonal name - I can grab this if no one else can
Book has a map
Set in tropical location

Ta || bookishbluehead (bookishbluehead) | 648 comments Yes, we have four skips per month. :)

I'll read a book from Aly's favorite list and for author's first name starts with Z.

I think we only have 3 skips per month, but we can use one for the middle name one, if needed.
