Ellen-Arwen Tristram | 2341 comments I just thought I'd put this list here for rhyming books - they're mostly children's books which isn't a surprise, but there's some adult books too, like The Eyre Affair. I would offer to read it but I tried a few years ago and it's one of the very few books that I really could not finish,

This is HARD!!

I put a hold for Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher (Magic Shop, #2) by Bruce Coville so if it comes in before someone else reads for the rhyming category, I'll read it

Do you actually want to read it, or are you just being nice for the team? We shouldn't have to read books we don't want to :(

It looks cute and it's a 2 hour audiobook so not bad

Andy Of The Blacks | 2327 comments We do have 3 categories we can skip - it seems you all have done the ones that looked most difficult at first glance, so we can choose something else to skip! ;)

Kade Gulluscio (kadebraylen) | 3757 comments I’m almost done with #12

message 111: by Kade (new)

Kade Gulluscio (kadebraylen) | 3757 comments I can possibly claim #4 - one name author - if no one else can / wants to.

message 112: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28931 comments Mod
Okay so we have:

Art on cover - Celia currently reading
One name author - Open
Food in title - Maybe Kade?
Author's first name is your middle name - Kim?

We have 3 skips to use by the end of the month. Kade and Kim, have you started those books yet? If not, we can skip the categories

message 113: by Kade (new)

Kade Gulluscio (kadebraylen) | 3757 comments I can do the one name author if needed, but not the food one. I have a novella that fits and would be a quick read. I’m also finishing the j, s, a initials prompt asap.

message 114: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28931 comments Mod
Okay. Maybe we can skip Food in title and Author's first name then

I’m fine with whatever works for y’all! If you want to skip all three, that’s fine too. Just let me know what’s easiest for everyone. If you want me to do the one namw author, im reading a book by Tijan.

Krista Muñoz (paperbacksandtwocats) | 14 comments Hey guys sorry I just added a review for Chain of gold but that is supposed to be on the spreadsheet for second hunt! I got confused because I already saw titles listed for hunt #2.

message 117: by Andy (new)

Andy Of The Blacks | 2327 comments Aly wrote: "Okay. Maybe we can skip Food in title and Author's first name then"

Can we skip things for the second hunt if we only use 2 skips for the first? Because I think we should definitely use all the skips, and move books or skips to the second hunt if we have any left! ;)

Ps: sorry I'm a bit useless to finish the hunt!

message 118: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28931 comments Mod
We get 3 skips per month. They don't roll over. So if we finished round 1 before August and still had a skip, we could use it for round two, but I'm not sure if we'll finish in time for that.

Vanessa Gayle ⚔️ Fangirl Faction (fangirlfaction) | 2928 comments I added City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments, #6) by Cassandra Clare to the banked books tab.

Thank you Aly! I would suggest we use all 3 skips in the first round then, and use any books for skipped prompts for round 2 - e.g. we could skip one names author and then use Kade book for round 2 instead? (Just an example!)

What do you all think?

Celia, do you know when you'll finish your book for Art on cover?

message 122: by Kade (new)

Kade Gulluscio (kadebraylen) | 3757 comments Whatever works! I didn’t start reading it yet just in case we chose to go another route. I’m on the past few pages for my book for the j, a, s prompt and then I’ll be reviewing that.

Yes, I think we just write it here? Like "we agreed to skip x y and z for the first round for July"? Or maybe better in the review thread!

That should finish round 1

Hmm well you could do a control find and search for the book on the pages of the list. Or go to the books main page and scroll down until you see "LISTS WITH THIS BOOK". Then you can search the lists that way and see if your book fits for a list task.
