I enjoyed reading Five Children and It in March of this year. My kids also liked it when they read it many years ago.
I’m about halfway through Five Children and It and am delighted with this imaginative story. The writing is lovely and the characters are so likable. I’m especially charmed by “The Lamb,” the baby brother who loves being sticky.
I've just finished The Enchanted Castle, which was a fun read. But a better name for the book would have been The Magic Ring. Wishes don't always work out the way they're supposed to, but everything is fine in the end,
I've finished Five Children and It and will definitely read more by E. Nesbit. I missed her books as a child.
I grew up in a very small town and they actually had a couple of her books, and The Little House on the Prairie books, which I loved.

E. Nesbit
A good place to begin is with her most famous trilogy: Five Children and It, The Phoenix and the Carpet, and The Story of the Amulet.
Our group has already read The Railway Children, one of my favourite children's books.
Happy reading everyone!
