It's Jim's theme but I can't see why not. As long as it wasn't released on a studio album by that artist. I would think many of the songs nominated have appeared on compilations by the artist so why not a more general compilation? I reckon stick your nominations in.

Wow! 11 posters turning up to vote for our 9 nominators! And, thankfully, a clear result - at one point it looked like the podium would collapse under the weight of all the winners. So, in first spot, one of the all time great singles, it's Joy Division nominated by Jemma (27 votes). Runner-up is the still relevant protest song by CSNY nominated by yours truly (18 votes).
