Are any of our readers close to the fires in California? Hope everyone is ok.

I will be out of town until Sunday. Not sure if I will be able to access the group. Have a good week and weekend. Minnesota people are breaking out the shorts and tank tops tomorrow. Above 50 degrees! Spring can't be far away, can it?

We don't have anyone in California but what a terrible catastrophe!

At our age it feels like about 2 weeks away.

Fishface | 2032 comments Yesterday I got impatient and addressed a post to Temu on Threads, saying that it's time they pulled their Christmas and New Year's sales ads because that all ended a month and a half ago. I scolded them that they could have been running Valentine's Day ads for the last couple of weeks.

Today there are plenty of Temu ads, but there's no mention of Christmas or New Year's sales. I feel so powerful lol

Just wanted to let my friends here know that I am undergoing chemo for B cell lymphoma. I've had one treatment done and one of my meds made me extremely tired (I slept for 3 days) and the nausea meds were not helping, although I dont think the hospital was giving me one of them. I was very anxious in the beginning but now I think I have done everything they can throw at me (multiple scans, bone marrow biopsy and port placement) and all I have left are 5 chemo treatments and hopefully done. The prognosis is very good. My attitude is good. I will survive this. If anyone here has been through it I would love to chat. Does anyone know any books about someone who has been through lymphoma?

I'm praying for you, but have no experience with this. I have family and friends who have survived cancer, but not this type. I'm glad to hear the prognosis is good.

I am so sorry to hear that! Take care!

Cynda | 13 comments I am sorry Koren that treatment is so rough.

What can we do to help here?

I'm good for now. I have 5 chemo treatments 3 weeks apart. My next one is next week. The last treatment I felt nauseous for a few days but otherwise I have been fine. I will try to keep everyone updated.

Not sure how long this has been a thing, but I found out that if you pay for Amazon music you get Audible for free. I'm not a fan of audio books, but this is worth a try.

Interesting. I don't pay for Amazon music since I don't stream it, but do like well read audiobooks if I'm driving, walking in house (too noisy on the street) or doing certain chores.

Fishface | 2032 comments I heard about a new book outlining the lives and work of the last 7 Popes. The title gave me a smile: Jesus Wept: Seven Popes and the Battle for the Soul of the Catholic Church.

Well I recommend you keep the ones called Apples. Apples are good for you.

I can't see those folders, where did you find them?

I don't remember the original post. Where did you see it Fishface? Selina hasn't been here for quite a while. I don't think we have ever had folders with those names.

Watched The Wizard Of Oz last night. I wish I knew how many times I have seen that movie. I don't think I will ever get tired of it. Hubby always says do we have to watch this again. Yes we do!

My husband was watching this so my son joined him; it went too late for my screen time limits so I abstained, but I could hear some of it.

That's horrible news but I'm very, very glad the outlook is so positive. Here's a book that might do:

Laughing in the Storm: Conquering Cancer with a Smile on Your Face

I don't think I updated this post. I have been in remission since May. I have a cat scan next week to make sure no cancer has returned.

I saw the Wizard Of Oz was on again the next night on a different channel. Hubby said absolutely not!

Thanks for letting us know and ideally your next cat scan will be negative and you'll continue in remission.
